Two Wednesday Morning Crashes Keep Responders Busy
Two separate accidents within the space of an hour and a half on Mallee roads this morning have kept local responders on their toes.
Police and paramedics were first called to the scene of a two-car collision on the corner of Haynes Road and the Murray Valley Highway near Lake Boga at around 8:50am.
One of the vehicles had rolled in the crash, with a woman in her 40's taken to the Swan Hill District Hospital in a stable condition with a leg injury.
Police are now investigating the cause of the crash.
A short time later, a 65-year-old Wodonga man was taken to hospital after his cattle truck rolled over on Yeungroon Road in Charlton at around 10:10am.
It's believed the truck tipped after leaving the road temporarily .. however the exact cause of the crash is still being investigated.
The man suffered lacerations and soft tissue injuries, and was taken to Bendigo Base Hospital.
In an unfortunate result from the crash, 20 cattle were forced to be euthanised.
Police are calling for any witnesses from either crash to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
