The meeting will discuss the progress of the boat ramp, including specifics about how the budget being used with representatives from Swan Hill Rural City Council expected to be in attendance.

The $360,000 project is thanks to funding from the Department of Transport Boating Safety and Facilities Program, the Victorian Fisheries Authority Better Fishing Facility Program and the council.

President of the Murray Downs Fishing Club Ron Woolhouse said that it is important for residents to have their say, as they only get one opportunity as getting the project right.

"Come and voice your opinion and have your say. It's a community facility, so everyone come and say something about it, or voice your opinion, because you're only going to get one shot at it. If you don't fix it now, it'll be like that for the next 100 years or so."

Mr. Woolhouse went on to say that the ultimate goal is to make sure that everyone is satisfied;

"The fishing club has put their face on it, on the project. [The council] is not really upholding what was supposed to be completed. It's only a half-done job at the moment."

Swan Hill Rural City Council have stated that they will not comment, up until after the meeting has been completed.
