Local Hot Shots star to toss the coin on centre court at Australian Open.

Swan Hill resident, Amber Brown, was presented with a commemorative coin as she prepares for a once in a lifetime opportunity to toss the coin at the 2019 Australian Open.

The 9 year old local has been playing Tennis with her brother for five years!

Amber is one of the lucky ANZ Tennis Hot Shots participants who will experience the Australian Open by stepping on to court and meeting the world’s best players. She is tossing the coin on January the 18th on centre court for a round three match of the Open.

When speaking to Mixx FM and 3SH Amber said she was excited and hopes to meet her favourite player Serena Williams!

Tennis Australia CEO and Australian Open Tournament Director Craig Tiley said, “The ongoing support of ANZ to the tennis community and sport makes us proud of our partnership. The ANZ Coin Crew is such a great initiative, a fun way to share the excitement of the Australian Open with our future tennis stars who will have a special coin to remember the occasion.”

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots is Tennis Australia’s official development program with a record 543 850 children between three and 12 years of age playing ANZ Tennis Hot Shots in 2017/18.

To celebrate ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Day on Thursday 17 January at the Australian Open ANZ are shouting kids FREE ground passes!
