Cade Hickey Remembered Following Fatal Houseboat Accident
The 21-year-old male who died in a tragic houseboat accident in Euston on Wednesday afternoon, has been confirmed as Woorinen reserves premiership player Cade Hickey.
Tributes have flowed online for the popular young sportsman, who has been described as a 'great man' and an 'unbelievably kind person'.
Hickey was also a part of the Swan Hill Flyers mens squad, as well as playing socially in the local mens competition for the Texans.
A report is now being prepared for the Coroner.
Investigations from the Barrier Police District are now underway after a tragic accident on a houseboat at Euston yesterday.
A 21-year-old man from Murray Downs died at a mooring site on the Murray River, with the NSW Police Force alleging the male was underneath a boat when it fell on top of him.
Workers called for assistance at approximately 1pm, with emergency services declaring the man died at the scene.
At this stage, the death is believed to be non-suspicious.
