81-Year-old Caught Speeding Twice in One Night
Police have been left shocked after an 81-year-old male was caught speeding twice in the space of 60 minutes across the south of the Mallee.
Police initially nabbed the male doing 130km/h on the Calder Highway at around 8:40pm last Thursday by Inglewood Police, however was found to be going even faster less than an hour later.
Wycheproof Police allege they detected the male driving at 143km/h near Dumosa, nearly 50km/h over the speed limit.
The driver was fined $1048, and has had his licence suspended for three months.
Wycheproof Police also caught a 55-year-old man from Mildura traveling at 139km/h the next day, on Birchip-Wycheproof Road in Narraport.
He received a $524 fine and also had his licence suspended for 3 months.
